We have been setting up our gourmet picnic at the Eiffel tower and Versailles for numerous clients from all over the world. It has been a lot of fun. Today, we wanted to publish a story from this past summer with a family from Porto Rico. It was the 14th of July, our national French holiday. I remember the date because we rarely set up Picnics on the river seine. Only the champ de mars area was all locked off, getting ready for the evening firework celebration. Our clients wanted a view of the Eiffel tower to enjoy their picnic experience in the city rightfully so!

Soon terraces of cafés are going to get full again & parks around the city are going to get busy. Paris spring time mark the beginning of our picnic season. Todays clients are enjoying our Stylish romantic deco gourmet picnic at the Trocadero gardens. The Trocadero gardens is a little higher up from street level. You will enjoy one of the best view of the Eiffel tower from the distance accross the Seine.
“Love Picnic Paris” will arrange date and time of the day with you. It is probably best to set up a picnic late afternoon if you wish to have some professional photos. Your gourmet picnic will be set up with our traditional wicker baskets, vintage table cloths, romnatic cushions, designers umbrellas, candles, plaids and blankets, candles, a customised menu. Our deco picnic is served with a bottle of chilled champagne to set the atmosphere.

A few things to know if you are planning on reserving a picnic with us. First book your picnic early if you can. We only do one picnic at a time. We are having to refuse clients because the date and time is already taken.

All of our picnics are set up for you prior to your arrival. You do not pick and and return baskets, we will take care of that for you. We would be on call while you enjoy your picnic. We will dismantle your picnic for you as well so that you can just carry on with your visit without having to worry about a thing. Your spring time engagement photos will be magical. Your birthday celebration with be amoment to remember.

It has been over 5 years since we prepared our first picnic for a client at the Eiffel tower. Time flies, it is a little crazy. Each year, we are getting a little busier with our picnic ventures. We have met many wonderful people through out the year. Some of our clients, visiting Paris again are coming back to us for another picnic experience. It is wonderful to meet new clients and to catch up with old ones! The original idea was to share a bit of our passion for French traditions in a casual manner. We wanted to share our love for traditional French picnics with good products, good wines and a lot of passion. We are proud to say that “Love Picnic Paris” is successful. There are 1001 ways to enjoy a birthday celebration in Paris. Our client contacted “Love Picnic Paris” to surprise her husband with a gourmet picnic at the champ de mars for his 40th birthday anniversary. We suggested a spot we favor off the main path of the park. Considering that the Eiffel tower stands at the edge of the park and that the surroundings are considered to be the number one touristic destination in Paris, it is surprisingly quite peaceful. It is also one of our favorite picnic location alongside the Trocadero gardens and the Luxembourg gardens in saint Germain des Près. Steps away from the Eiffel tower, you feel like you have the city to yourself at this champ de Mars picnic location! There are also lots of gorgeous trees on the site where one can shed in case of a summer heat wave! It is also a perfect way to end a morning tour with your Paris tour guide.

Jolinda opted for our ” Edith Piaf ” romantic picnic set up which we customized for her. Her picnic came with a traditional baguette, a selection of cold meats as well as a selection of French cheeses. They enjoyed a vegetable quiche with a fresh market salad followed by roast beef and ratatouille. She surprised her husband with a chocolate birthday cake. ( We added a few candles and a lighter for the event ). Our romantic French style picnic is served with a bottle of champagne and macarons for the sweet tooths.

While our first three picnics come with a traditional red squared blanket & our traditional wicker blankets, ” Edith Piaf ” is a little more elaborate! we will have your gourmet picnic all ready for you to enjoy with our baskets, cushions, an umbrella, balloons, candles. We collaborate with a professional photographer who can capture those precious moments for you. Olivier took a few photos of our clients when they arrived at the picnic so that he could capture the surprise effect! Once our clients finished their lunch, Olivier took them around the champ de mars for a mini walking tour around the eiffel tower so that they have gorgeous memories of the day in the city. They had a great time and it was a lot of fun for us to put everything together.

The process is simple. You first choose your preferred picnic style from our classic “Léon picnic” to a more elaborate “Amelie Poulain picnic”. We also have a choice of a sweet picnic for the afternoon as well as our special “Edith Piaf gourmet picnic” catered specially for lovers and a romantic afternoon. All of our picnics include a surprise set up. Your picnic will be ready for you with its traditional wicker baskets when you arrive on site. You can enjoy your time with family and friends without having to worry about the logistics. Everything is taken care of for you.
How to process your picnic order.
Once you have chosen your style of picnic with your selected menu, you can add a few options such as a bottle of champagne, a bouquet of flowers. We can assist you with the finding of a professional musician. Our creative photographer will be delighted to guide you through the streets of Paris for some great photos. The process is easy and can be completed in a couple of minutes. You have the possibility to add a note to your order should you have a question or a comment. We will get back to you promptly within the next 24 hours. Once you have completed your order, click and send.
You will receive a confirmation email including your picnic order details. Payment can be done once we have finalized location and timing with you via email.

We will go through the delivery and picnic set up with you, making sure that nothing is missing to your order. We will then reserve the date and time for you with your chosen location. The gardens of the Trocadero with the view of the Eiffel tower is an old time favorite. The Trocadero area is the perfect location to take some gorgeous photographs with the Eiffel tower in the background. The gardens of the Louvre as well as the Luxembourg gardens are also possible locations for you to enjoy one of our delightful picnic. By the way, all of our picnics come with our traditional French style wicker baskets. They are all crafted by les Jardins de la Comtesse. Once everything is finalized, you can pay for your order via paypal or a wire transfer.

We will customize directly one of our gourmet picnic together. Our group picnics generally take place at the Champ de mars overlooking the Eiffel tower or the gardens of Versailles. You will find on this article a few photographs illustrating one of our most recent group picnic at the champ de mars. All of our picnics are set up in a traditional manner with our wicker baskets, our red squared picnic tablecloths, balloons and flowers. We propose in our menus a selection of French cheeses as well as a selection of cold meats. We will prepare a selection of tasty vegetable quiches and market mixed salads with french breads and traditional chips. “Love Picnic Paris” will decorate the site with our newly designed picnic set below. This year we have added candles and lights to decorate your picnic. We ourselves love the idea of having a romantic picnic in the city regardless of the season. We call it ” our Romantic adventure ” which we have decided to share with everyone. Reach out via email to book your date. Do not hesitate to ask questions. We are here to help. Our goal is to make your unique Paris proposal a dream come true.
We would ask you to be a little flexible with time and day. We may need to move your picnic hour a little in case of rain. There is a gorgeous sheltered site which we use at the champ de mars. It is designed by Gustave Eiffel. It has public benches where we can set up your picnic in case of light rain. You would be all rapped up in our cashmere blankets. Time will stop, you will just enjoy the moment together with the woman of your life. You will propose in style, pop up the bottle of champagne and enjoy the moment.
Our photographer would be capturing your proposal from the distance.We can also include a very cheap bottle of sparkling (to shake, pop and spray – for the photo session)
Once your lunch comes to an end, Olivier will take you around the Eiffel tower site for your engagement photo session. The photo session can go from one to three hours in the streets of Paris depending on your special needs.

Our dear clients and friends for the afternoon had a real exquisite moment, chatting away & enjoying our “Edith Piaf” picnic at the gardens of the Trocadero. For those of you who visit our website for the first time, I have included to this post a few general guidelines about our company. It is a real delight to prepare and set up one of our Parisian gourmet picnic for couples, families and friends at one or our picnic location such as the champ de Mars or the Trocadero gardens overlooking the Eiffel tower. Below is the map of where the picnic would normally be set up for you. It is very close to the foot of the Eiffel tower, quite peaceful and easily accessible. We will be on call during the picnic hours and present to clear the picnic set up for you once you are finished. You can simply carry on with your visit or your photo session after your lunch. The picnic is usually set up for you by 13h30 but time is really flexible.

For picnics over two people, it is best to contact us directly for a quote. Please note that our picnics appeal to a high end clientele. We do not offer “Picnics to go” in paper bags. Our picnics are in a way quite elaborate. Below you will find sample visuals with our wicker baskets and classic “Edith Piaf” set up. Again, our picnics are all prepared and set up by us at a chosen location prior to meeting our clients. When they arrive on site the picnic is all ready for you to enjoy.

We have officially entered the fall season in Paris with a lovely secret proposal at the Louvre gardens! Ivan, our client contacted us a while back to assist him with the planning of his proposal to his long time girlfriend. We decided on the Louvre gardens to set up one of our gourmet picnic. The picnic was all ready to enjoy by 12h30. Ivan was to arrive at the location after a morning bike ride. He surprise his girlfriend with the proposal, crack the bottle of champagne open and enjoy our “Edith Piaf” picnic with his lover surrounded by French history.
Ivan especially requested for a peaceful location in the city center close to the place Vendome where the morning ride was to end. The Louvre is one of the main visited site in the city right after the eiffel tower. It attracts millions of tourist yearly. The park is located in between the museum and the tuilerie gardens. It happens to be peaceful and a perfect location for a romantic afternoon.

Lifestyle photography for your secret proposal.
We organized for our photographer to be present when our couple first arrived at the beginning of the picnic hour. Olivier discretely captured the proposal from the distance without being noticed. He carried on taking photographs while Ivan opened the bottle of champagne. He then moved forward and introduced himself so that he could take a few portraits of the two of them before they enjoyed their lunch. After lunch hour, they all walked around the Louvre museum for their engagement photo session. The photos were all retouched and sent out the very next day.
Our clients received over 100 photographs carefully edited by Olivier. You will find a few visuals from the day below. It is very difficult to decide on which photos to showcase because there are just so many gorgeous images! You will find a few photographs of the picnic set up, the actual proposal and photos taken in the afternoon over one hour.
