Eiffel tower delightful birthday picnic

Birthday picnic celebration at the eiffel tower.

Gyl contacted us a while back to help plan a family picnic in beautiful Paris for a birthday celebration and a family reunion. The whole family with a total of 24 members were to fly to Europe in the month of July. Their European journey was to end in Paris. She wanted something special and fabulous for everyone to celebrate family and love.

We set up one of our gourmet picnic at the champ de mars for them. The weather had been simply gorgeous in Paris, even too hot at times! Unfortunately, a couple of days before our picnic date, we realised that it might rain after all. The forecast was actually not the best announcing a storm in the morning and constant rain fall through out the day!!

We first decided to change the date to friday instead of saturday as originally planned. As a precaution, we had actually blocked three days for Gyl’s picnic so that we could be flexible with time and date. So we were fine, we thought at first! Only we realised the next morning that rain was now forecast for friday as well with late afternoon storm!

After consulting with our client, we finally decided to stick to our original plans. Only we were to set up the picnic on a couple of tables under one of the Gustave Eiffel beautiful shelter at the champ de mars. In case of rain, we would be safe. We had organised umbrellas with the hotel as well just in case. Nothing at this point was going to stop everyone from having FUN on a typical French afternoon picnic at the Eiffel tower. This was going to be their last day in Europe. Everyone was ready to party and face the storm if need be!

Well as it turned out, for sure the sky was rather grey, the temperature had dropped a little. Luckily we did not see a drop of rain on that day. It rained a lot overnight, neither us or Gyl slept a lot on that night!! The couple of weather forecast we had our eyes on were both completely wrong!
Thanks to the gods, everyone had a wonderful time. The food was great, we had a selection of market quiches on the tables, a selection of French cheeses, cold meats, three different market salads, melons from Cavaillon as well as refreshing watermelon and chocolate cake for desert. Not to forget Rose wine from provence, chilled bear and mineral water just in case.

A Magician for a beautiful birthday

Our friend Clement the magician joined us for part of the day. Here below we posted a few photographs taken during his magic show. Everyone; the young and not so young including us at “Love Picnic Paris” had a wonderful time with him. Our magician’s performance was a lot of fun and had us entertained. His illusions, staged and close up magic were quite comedic in nature and the audience was ecstatic. GREAT SUCCESS ….

It was a real pleasure to connect with German and his wife in Paris yesterday. We had the privilege to host one of our picnic for the family last year already. This time around they came back with their grand daughter. They enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain’ picnic at the Trocadero gardens. The picnic was followed by a mini photo session with Olivier.

Asim and Ravi in Paris a few days back photographed by Olivier over their gourmet picnic at the champs de mars. We set up our “amelie poulain” picnic at the foot of the eiffel tower for them. The weather was a bit edgy. We decided to opt for the champ de mars rather then the Trocadero because of shelter options on site in case of rain. Olivier had communicated the change of location via google map earlier on. It was Asim and Ravi first time traveling in Europe. Paris was their first destination, which were going to be followed by a few days in Rome and 10 days in Santorini.

Needless to say that they were both overjoyed. Meeting them was a lot of fun. It is always a gift to meet new people in the city. Enjoy a few of their honeymoon photos below. May be we will meet again! Warmest Regards from “Love Picnic Paris”

A few GORGEOUS photographs from a picnic happening today at the Trocadero followed by a lifestyle photo session with Olivier! Some really cool photographs in black and white. I Love black and white photography… They are so romantic and timeless. I still enjoy looking at my parents pictures when they were young, those old family albums in black and white were just stunning. So glad that black and white is coming back to fashion these days.

Ella and Andrejs enjoyed our “Amelie Poulain” picnic at the Trocadero with an hour of photos around the site. We had the picnic set up for them when they arrived. Ella did not know anything about it. She was a little surprised when she found out! All of the little details had been well planned in advance.

We communicate via text message the morning of if need be, nothing is left aside.We would send you the map of the exact location geolocalized, so that you can let yourself being guided to the spot if need be with your phone. We make sure that the location is very easy to find for everyone, even if you have never been to Paris before.

” Love Picnic Paris” had a fun time yesterday with a lovely couple from Australia who flew to Europe for their Honeymoon! ” Love Paris Picnic ” is all about Paris! Our clients are friends, families and couples who wish to enjoy a special moment with a gourmet picnic and creative photography while they visit the city. Greg and Annie had a gourmet Picnic in Paris yesterday. Olivier took a few photographed with our couple in a lifestyle manner around the Eiffel tower and the trocadero site. I love those huge smiles and happy faces on Annie and Greg honeymoon photos session.

Annie contacted us from Italy a few days prior to their arrival in Paris. She wanted to surprise her husband with a gourmet picnic and a photo session. She decided to couple our “Amelie Poulain” picnic with one hour of photography around the Eiffel tower. Our picnic was all set up for them when they arrived at the champ de mars by 13h00. They settled down while Olivier snapped a few photos of the two of them to begin with; our wicker basket and a couple of red balloons in sight!

They ordered our Amelie Poulain gourmet picnic basket with traditional lemonade. Below is a recap of the menu they had over lunch time.

You can find our four different picnic menus in “Love Picnic Paris” service page. You can easily choose your preferred picnic from this page. You can pick on the date and time in the roll down menu as well. You may add various options such as flowers, champagne and photography to your liking. Our mini photo session, half an hour of photography is charged at € 180. This includes a set of photographs all edited and retouched with a set of low and high resolution files both for the internet and printing. We make a point that we sent you all of the photos back to you via “wetransfer” the next day.

Once we’ve received your order, we will fine tune all of the little details with you. We will then ask you to pay for your picnic via paypal. You have 24 hours to complete your purchase. Please do not hesitate to share with us any special request that you may have.

What about if the weather is not cooperating!

The weather had been a little temperamental recently and we had our noises stuck to our weather forecast board the previous days.

The best location to set up a picnic for photos and vista is the Trocadero area. It is a large open space. It can be a little windy at times though. There are people passing by. Down below from the main square is always pretty quiet. You’ll get the most amazing view of the eiffel tower from across the seine. In case of possible rain & showers, we would set up the picnic on the other side of the park. It is a little quieter and at the foot of the Eiffel tower. We posted a few photos from the champ de mars area yesterday so that you can have a more precise idea of the site.

The champ de mars area is usually where we would set up a picnic in case of rain. There is a shelter area just around the corner from our usual picnic set up with a view of the eiffel tower. This is exactly what we did for Annie and Greg. We first went to the Trocadero on the day. We then decided it would be best to set up the picnic at our location on the champ de mars after all. Olivier simply contacted our clients by phone with the map below to advise them on the final picnic location.

You usually have one hour to enjoy this very parisian moment. Once Annie and Greg had finished their picnic, they simply walk over to the seine with Olivier for their photo session. Looking at the final set of photographs, I think that everyone had a great time!

We ask you to be reachable by phone on the morning of your picnic. We may need to reassess our set up plans because of the weather. In case of possible rain, we would usually decide once we get to the site what would be the best possible set up for the day. We would then communicate the location via text message with a map.

A week in beautiful Paris for John and Alissa. They enjoyed one of our picnic at the Trocadero overlooking the eiffel tower on their very first day!

Family portraits and a winter picnic at the Eiffel tower

We set up our first winter picnic for a family visiting the city from San Diego this past week. It rained on the day so we decided to have the picnic at one of the sheltered bench a few steps away from the Eiffel tower. This way they could enjoy our gourmet picnic “winter style” with hot coffee & tea and vegetable soup to start with. Our family had a family photo session with Olivier in the morning, they then headed to the champ de Mars for their lunch before visiting the Eiffel tower in the afternoon.

They had purchased Eiffel tower tickets online so that they easily passed the ticket office and the eternal queue of tourist, to reach the elevator which took them all the way to the third floor. It is an incredible experience to climb the tower all the way up and enjoy the incredible view over the city from up there. I was 8 year old when my parents took us there for the first time and i still vividly remember the experience; mainly my dad being sea sick! i remember this gigantesque view, the conquered tower, the grand adventure, running down the steps ahead of our parents, resting on each floor to the ground level again!

We would set up your picnic for you with balloons and blankets so that you do not have to worry about the logistic ( picking up or returning the wicker baskets ). The picnic location would be on the champ de Mars and easily accessible from the tower. We could alternatively set up our picnics at the Luxembourg gardens if weather allows. We would point you to the set up with geo localization and whatsapp in the morning of! We do love ( from time to time ) those new technology which made your life easier! Our winter picnic comes with a bottle of wine ( champagne optional ). It is served with tea and / or coffee, a hot vegetable soup, a market quiche, cheeses and selection of cured meat, fresh market salad and a dessert. ( fruits or chocolate cake ).

Our gourmet picnic can be coupled with a lifestyle photo session with Olivier either prior or after your lunch. Family picnic and a photo session at the Eiffel tower

We had a beautiful day in Paris yesterday. The fall season has simply been gorgeous . It has been a lot of fun to stretch our summer picnic season a little. We actually organized a gourmet family picnic yesterday. It was coupled with a photo session with our photographer Olivier around the Trocadero area for a family of four from Singapore. Miss Chin Yeng Choo asked us to prepare a picnic at the footstep of the Eiffel tower while they were visiting Paris. They visit Paris every 5 years and we are so glad they contacted us this time around. The kids are now all grown up. She wanted to take the opportunity of a family trip to Europe to have a professional photographer take a few portraits of the family.

We are lucky to have a very talented photographer under our roof! Olivier happens to be my partner in crime and the co founder of ” Love Picnic Paris”. This way, we propose fun and creative photo session along our picnics with one of the best photographer in town!

Fall Romance in Paris – A gourmet picnic and an engagement photo session

A romantic gourmet picnic in the fall with a creative photo session with our photographer.

There is no season for romance in Paris. It is always the perfect time to enjoy the city of light when you are in love. There is no special time for a gourmet picnic either along the banks of the seine. Although picnics are considered a summer activity, we are preparing a gourmet picnic for the fall and winter season.

WHY? Simply because we, as a couple enjoy escaping for an afternoon with one of our picnic along the seine even if it is a bit chilly! It doen’t matter really … You are well covered, hat, scarves to enhance the experience!

What matters is experiencing a unique moment with your love one, a special afternoon just for the two of you. This is what we would like to share with our clients at love Picnic Paris. We will include a hot soup, hot tea, some cheese, cured meat and some delightful surprises in our winter picnics. We would set up one of our wicker basket with a blanket at one of our favorite location in the city for you to enjoy.

We want our gourmet picnics to be the special romantic paris experience that we ourselves enjoy together! Love is about sharing, our picnics are a way to pass on our love for the city and the love we have for each other.
