Luxembourg Gardens Engagement.

Fabulous Luxembourg gardens engagement with Tej and Erica this past week end in Paris. Paris is a beautiful city all year long and specially in the fall. The days are simply gorgeous with high temperatures at the moment still the leaves are turning gold already, the light is crisp. The days are also getting a little shorter. We are saying goodbye to a glorious summer season and are now welcoming the autumn with all of its beauty in the city.

We organised a gourmet picnic at the Luxembourg gardens for Tej. The idea was that he proposes to his girlfriend while enjoying our deco picnic at the park. Because weekend can get a little busy at the moment, we decided to have the picnic ready by 12h. We set it up at one of the two lawns that are accessible to the public. The Luxembour garden is certainly the perfect spot for a proposal, overlooking the main fountain and the senat in the background.

For the one of you who have not been to Paris yet, the Luxembourg garden is located in the 6th arrondissement. The garden is steps away from the historical Sorbonne university, as well as the Paris Jazz clubs and art cinemas of Saint Germain des Près. The parc is also a few minutes walk from the seine river and walking distance to “les deux Magots” and the “café de Flore”. Both cafés are a literally institution of the boulevard Saint Germain.

A Paris proposal experience.

You will find our proposal packages in the proposal page of our website. Once we have agreed with the style of picnic with you, we will decide on the location to host your proposal picnic. Tej was set on the Luxembourg gardens for his Paris engagement. We included a bottle of champagne as well as red roses to his romantic picnic.

Tej proposed to Erica when they arrived at the picnic site. Olivier photographed their proposal discreetly from the distance. He then introduced himself and took a few more photographs at the picnic site. Tej and Erica had one hour and a half to enjoy their lunch. Once they finished their lunch, Olivier took our couple around the park for the remaining hour of photography.

A selection of over 50 photographs were sent out to them via we transfer the next day. All of the photos were edited, retouched and sent in high format. Our couple can then announce their engagement to friends and family. They also have a week to share the link with families back home.

This way everyone can enjoy the photos without having to wait for their return.

There are also 1001 ways to propose while visiting Paris. A public park, the river seine, the Eiffel tower, the terrace of a cafe, a local restaurant are among the many picturesque vista that you might consider for a successful engagement in the city.

May we suggest the Luxembourg gardens for your engagement? It is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It is also referred to as the “Jardin du Sénat”. Designed in 1612 by Marie de Medici, it covers 26 hectares in central Paris.

Lets propose in the heart of Saint Germain des Près, in the latin quater at one of the most beautiful park in Paris. Doesn’t that sound like a smashing idea?

Our clients were staying in a lovely boutique hotel on the edge of the Luxembourg gardens. They had great memories of previous Paris trip, wandering the streets of Saint Germain. We thought the gardens of the Luxembourg would be the perfect setting for their engagement in Paris. And indeed it was just perfect!

So our client decided on a gourmet picnic with our deco setting at the Luxembourg to surprise his partner. We had their gourmet picnic ready by 12h00, a little earlier then usual. The park can get a little busy in the afternoon. There are only that many lawns at the garden where you can rest over lunch hour. Parisian often gather on the lawn to catch up with friends, do their week end exercise and chill with a good book. 12h was the perfect timing.

Our deco picnic was set up in the middle of the main lawn overlooking the senat in the background. The deco included a set of cushions, a vintage picnic blanket, a couple of traditional wicker baskets one of which hosting a silver bucket of iced champagne. We also included vintage umberllas over both baskets to shed the food. On the blanket laid a hand written menu with some candles.

Sunrise proposal in Paris

A sunrise proposal in Paris.

This past week end, we organised a sunrise proposal in Paris! Such a gorgeous morning it was. We set up our deco gourmet picnic at the champ de Mars, overlooking the Eiffel tower. We suggested to our client to propose by 8am. This way they could have the whole park to themselves! It was a lovely morning, the park was indeed very peaceful at this time. There were only a few people around, mainly walking their dogs and jogging. Such a Parisian thing to do!

Marius proposed to his girlfriend when they arrived at the picnic site. We organised half an hour of engagement photos prior to the picnic with our professional photographer. The light is gorgeous at this time of the day. If you are an early bird, it is a great idea to get to the park at sunrise.

Your Eiffel tower engagement.

The Eiffel tower area can get a little busy during the day to say the least. Planning your engagement early enough, you will skip the crowd and enjoy a unique Parisian experience. You also will be able to enjoy the city of light waking up to its full beauty. Because our clients are usually a little jetlag travelling to Paris, it is not too difficult to head to the Eiffel tower that early afterall. I assure you it is really worth it! You will get some great photos for your engagement with our professional photographer.

Your engagement photos will be carefully edited and retouched. The selection will be sent out to you in high resolution format the next day. You will receive a wetransfer link that you can send with your parents back home for the next 7 days.

A unique Parisian experience.

A gourmet picnic at the Eiffel tower is a unique Parisian experience. Whether a sunrise proposal in Paris or a romantic outing with your partner, the experience is also a lot of fun.

Todays clients enjoyed a bottle of chilled champagne with an iced bucket. French traditional baguette, croissants, a selection of cheeses, a vegetable quiche, smoked salmon, sweets and macarons were part of the menu.

Our deco gourmet picnic are set up with our traditional wicker baskets, vintage table cloths, umbrellas, lovely cushions, candles, cashmere plaids and a written menu. We set up to find the best spot when we arrive on site in the morning. Please note that we do propose gourmet picnics at the gardens of Versailles as well. A Paris birthday celebration.

Lets enjoy a Paris birthday celebration for a fun, stylish and elegant afternoon with a romantic gourmet picnic from ” Love Picnic Paris”. Martin surprised his wife with a week end visit to Paris to celebrate her birthday. We set up our “Amelie Poulain” picnic for them at the gardens of the Trocadero. Our photographer took some gorgeous lifestyle photos of the two of them when they arrived at the picnic. It was the perfect surprise for our birthday girl.

We laid out a traditional picnic blanket with our gorgeous wicker baskets on the grass. They enjoyed a bottle of chilled rosé wine with a selection of French cheeses, a selection of cold meats, a market salad, a vegetable quiche, seasonal fruits and a chocolate cake! Photos were a lot of fun. Olivier took them around the Eiffel tower after their picnic for some more photos. They had a full hour with our photographer. The pictures were sent out to them the next day.
