Beatrice + Johnny Picnic in Paris

Technically we are still in winter in Paris, aren’t we?  Well, I love winter now, love it so much i had to take off my jumper as I was simply feeling hot at our picnic today!

Beatrice had contacted us a week ago as she was planning the birthday of her lover and partner in crime. She ordered an “Amelie Poulain” gourmet picnic with a surprise set up so that everything was ready for them to simply enjoy the moment they arrived. She asked for extra berries and extra olives + a delicious strawberry birthday cake which we ordered at our bakery in rue Montorgueil and a bottle of champagne to celebrate in style. Beatrice and Johnny had a feast, a wonderful time under a cherry tree with the eiffel tower on the side.Paris picnic

We launched a new trend at the champ de Mars this morning. “Love Picnic Paris” was in the air. I loved Beatrice dress, that she wore for the occasion, simply stunning. Both our clients were extremely happy & having a great time. It is the best thing to be able to make people feel happy and see a big smile on their face.

Olivier took some gorgeous photographs of the two of them cuddling under the tree. The mini photo session was a must really. We love our picnic baskets. Making sure that our clients enjoy the moment in the most beautiful city on earth is very important to us.Paris picnic

The weather was gorgeous today in Paris! Funny, a blogger from Australia sent us a text message asking whether he could order a picnic for the next hour while we were on site. It does take us a little while to prepare our picnics. Ordering a picnic for the next day is probably the best we can do. We have four delicious gourmet picnics to choose from at Love Picnic Paris. The ordering process is nice and easy, if you have any question or are thinking outside the box for a special event reach out to us, we would be delighted to help.

Vacation in Provence

We have just returned from our vacation in Provence and the Luberon region and already preparing a picnic basket for a client in Paris this morning! We purchased a lovely laced tablecloth for another client at the end of the month. We actually stayed in the village of Oppède located in the heart of the golden triangle. The wonderful village of Oppède is set in picturesque landscape, situated on hillside with tiny narrow streets, overlooking vignards. During our stay we visited villages with famous names such as Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Gordes and Roussillon famous for its ochre deposits; all very picturesque and simply gorgeous.

Meanwhile we wanted to share some of the photos that Olivier took during our trip. It is amazing that it only takes a couple of hours in the train to get down to Avignon. We brought back some beautiful memories with us as well as some local products and plenty of ideas.

Rock Picnic on the seine

Rock N’Roll Picnic on the seine with Anastasia and Dorian.

Picnic in Paris can be an “all season” affair after all! Dorian and Anastasia had a photo session with Olivier from WeddingLight and we prepared a picnic basket for our couple on the tip of the “isle de la cité” overlooking the river seine and the pont des arts in the distance. It was quite cold, the light was crisp and a few couples in love were enjoying some romantic time at one of the most picturesque Parisian landmark.picnic-paris-couple-photography

Olivier went on a photo tour with Anastasia and Dorian along the seine from Saint Michel to the Pont Neuf for a couple of hours. They finished the photo session with a lovely picnic, a bottle of burgundy red wine, a salmon quiche, cold meat and cheese … And of course a very testy french baguette to accommodate their picnic!

Preheat the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C. Use the pastry to line a 23cm (9in) fluted tart tin with removable base. Prick the base with a fork and line with nonstick baking paper and baking beans. Blind bake for 12 minutes. Remove paper and beans and bake for a further 5 minutes. Turn down the oven to gas 3, 170°C, fan 150°C.

Fry the onion in 1 tbsp olive oil until softened. Add the bacon and garlic and fry for 5 minutes. Add the courgette and cook for 5 minutes more.

Beat the eggs in a bowl, mix in the cream and season. Put the courgette mix into the tart case, then pour over the egg mixture. Finish with the cheese and bake for 20 minutes. Turn up the oven to gas 6, 200°C, fan 180°C and bake for a final 5 minutes.

Quite simple really and so tasty for a picnic in Paris overlooking the Eiffel tower.
